Many people think of maple and think of fall, but maple season is in the very late winter/early spring. That is when the sap begins to run and maple syrup production occurs. Maple syrup season is a big deal here in the western New York region as we have many maple producers in the area.

We are continuing to celebrate maple season on the blog with this round-up of recipes featuring pure maple syrup and/or maple sugar.

You'll find sweet and savory uses for maple including breakfasts, snacks and drinks, side dishes and salads, main dishes, and desserts all highlighting the deliciousness of pure maple! Many thanks to all the bloggers who contributed these yummy and creative recipes.

Some of my husband's family members run a small maple operation so we are able to help in the process and also have a local supplier of wonderful NYS maple syrup that we enjoy throughout the year. Even the kids have been going over to help since they were just a year old.

Keep reading for lots of great maple recipe ideas. What's your favorite way to enjoy maple?

~Breakfast~
Maple syrup is a breakfast time staple when it comes to topping pancakes, waffles, and more. You can also use it in other ways as well such as in granola, muffins, and more. We love to use maple to top oatmeal, too.
